The plywood ribs vase is not the skeleton for the other vases, but a variation in the possible construction strategies. The other vases were milled in styrene with a 3 axis CNC as an initial model to make plaster molds; the plaster molds were then used to build the final vases in ceramic. We played also with other ornamental conditions (using tessellation) to build the diamond phenotype, which was just milled in styrene and then painted.
